I'm afraid I'm far from authoritative on this since I don't have a Blade 100 in my posession. Theoretically it shouldn't be too different from the procedure used to get my Ultra 10s up and running.

As far as I'm aware, the Linux kernel should run quite well on that machine. You don't specifically need a Sun machine to boot from, practically any unix box should work. Mine, for instance, is an x86 whitebox running Slackware 9.1. As long as it's got rarpd, in.tftpd, and inetd, you've got the ingredients you'll need.

Grab crn's tftp-sun4u.img out of /beta/tftpboot/ and serve that to your machine. Alternatively, try tftp-sun4u-2.4.4.img out of sparc/splack-8.0/tftpboot/ if the first doesn't work. That should give you a firm foundation. You can pull the rest of the installation material across NFS from that point.

Good luck!
