Gregsparc has released Splack-10.2-rc7 which fixes the known installer bugs.

Please test it and let us know if there are any other issues so that we can finally move 10.2 to stable status.

I have Splack 8.0 installed and running on a Sun Netra T105 which has 256MB RAM and using a serial terminal.
It seems to be working as it should but I want to be able to run X so I can use it with PC-Xware. If I run startx It says can't open /dev/tty0.
I also want to use it with a Krupps Javastation which is why I installed Splack in the first place. The Javastation says no dhcp response received. Is there a simplae way I can at least test my Javastations? BTW, they are version 3.11 which I have read can't be booted from linux.

I\'ve got a Sparcstation 20 knocking around. Is any version of Splack able to install on this hardware? If not, I may have to try BSD.

I am trying to install Splack 8.0 on a Sun Netra T105 using a serial terminal. I get as far as logging on as root and getting the Bummer tty2 and tty3 messages. I fixed that by following the instructions for the workaround, but I can't get Splack install to recognise my cdrom as the source. I get a message refering me to FAQ.TXT for info on how to copy some of the cdrom to hard disk to install but there is no mention of that in FAQ.TXT.

I?m installing 10.2 on a Sun Sparc 10. All goes well during installation, but when booting for first time from hard disk, the keyboard loses key-mapping and it?s impossible to continue working . I tried all keyboard configuration. What should I verify ?.

I\'ve merged a couple of xorg.conf files from Debian with the one distributed with rc.5, it works well on an E4500 with cgsix and should be OK on ATI or Creator 3D.

I\'ve done my best to retain as much of the original Slackware comments etc. as are appropriate.

Somebody please tell me where to send it if it\'s likely to be of any use to the project.

Thanks to Gregsparc we now have 10.2 beta available for download and thanks to Shasta we now have an excellent rsync+ftp site.

Please help by testing the beta and reporting any issues.

After a little search, because on the default sites is not avaible, I have download the splack-08jul2k5.iso image, but the PROM of the Ultra 5 is not be able to boot it.
Corrupted image?
Where can I download a working ISO?
