I ve succesfully built the beginning of the gnome serie for current : glib-1.2.9, gtk+-1.2.9, libIdl-0.6.8, mozilla-1.7.8 ( latest). This serie gives you under splack-current a fully fast web browser. The packages are ready, need to work on source packages.Sunday, June 12 2005 @ 09:47 AM

I was able to install Linux-PAM on Splack (ultra 5) after installing cracklib, and could install OpenSSH with the \"--with-pam\" option and it successfully calls PAM. But I need to enable PAM support for \"login\", \"ftpd\" and \"telnetd\", on Splack 8.0. Is this even possible? I\'ve spent the last several days trying to make this work without much success. I\'ve updated util-linux-2.12q and shadow-4.0.9 but that doesnt seem to make a difference. Please, someone tell me to either stop trying, or give me some pointers as to whether it\'s even possible???.. By the way, I like the dist, and could participate in adding some security features if interested.Wednesday, June 01 2005 @ 05:04 AM
