gnome serie

About SplackI ve succesfully built the beginning of the gnome serie for current : glib-1.2.9, gtk+-1.2.9, libIdl-0.6.8, mozilla-1.7.8 ( latest). This serie gives you under splack-current a fully fast web browser. The packages are ready, need to work on source packages.
I use the XF86-4.0.3 from splack-8 due to the fact that the 3DLab server works on my gfx card. All the packages are build on splack-current with the a,d,n,l series.

splack 10 beta

About SplackHello
I ve done my own beta.iso successfully. I ve modified the initrd.img so that to be able to really choose a kbdmap ( sun-fr for me ) and it works well ( use the files from splack-8). I ve also seen problems with libcrypto and libdb3. I m quiet happy having installed cdrtools-2 from current dist and be able to use my cdrw yamaha crw2100s (never works on splack8 ). Is it usefull to complete the beta iso with the splack-current packages ?

PAM support for login, ftpd, telnetd?

About SplackI was able to install Linux-PAM on Splack (ultra 5) after installing cracklib, and could install OpenSSH with the \"--with-pam\" option and it successfully calls PAM. But I need to enable PAM support for \"login\", \"ftpd\" and \"telnetd\", on Splack 8.0. Is this even possible? I\'ve spent the last several days trying to make this work without much success. I\'ve updated util-linux-2.12q and shadow-4.0.9 but that doesnt seem to make a difference. Please, someone tell me to either stop trying, or give me some pointers as to whether it\'s even possible???.. By the way, I like the dist, and could participate in adding some security features if interested.

Thanks,
D
